The Falcon which is the national bird of the UAE, is a major aspect of Emirati culture and traditions. To the UAE, the falcon represents strength, national heritage and agility.
In this artwork, the Falcon consists of seven layers representing the seven states of the UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah) and indicating unity among the states. As the seven layers of the Falcon are making this piece stronger and unbreakable, the unity among the states has made them united, reminding of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's call to unite the Emirates saying, " Unity is the way to strength, honor and power". The falcon spreads its wing beyond the artwork border, indicating UAE’s power to think beyond.

The Falcon is flying over the white circles representing the five decades the country has passed since the founding of the United Arab Emirates. The pieces are painted white conveying the message of peace, purity and unity and gold representing the achievements and success stories the country has had so far. In fact, UAE’s golden way to success is like a growing plant which is continuing its development path.
