‘Flame Tree” is a beautifully detailed abstract installation comprised of resin pieces decorated with orange blooming flowers. Inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s Blossom painting, the artist attempts to convey the sense of spring and its fresh feelings with orange blossoms against a blue sky. This tree is famous for the bright red bell-shaped flowers that often cover the whole tree when it is leafless.
Each of the pieces has its own unique character, attempting to convey the sense of moving and flying in the blowing air wind. Each piece evolved through the spontaneity of pouring ink. The layering of transparent colors on the matte backgrounds blends together to create unexpected tones and patterns.
