‘Cherry blossom’ is a beautifully detailed abstract installation comprised of resin pieces decorated with cherry blooming flowers. Inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s Blossom painting, the artist attempts to convey the sense of spring and its fresh feelings with pink blossoms. This tree is a symbol of revival, rebirth or coming back to life and its blooms and flowers tell us about the new beginning and never losing hope in life.
Each of the pieces has its own unique character, attempting to convey the sense of moving and flying in the blowing air wind. Each piece evolved through the spontaneity of pouring ink. The layering of transparent colors on the matte backgrounds blends together to create unexpected tones and patterns.
